Choose how you want to spend the day
Some groups want an early start and several water activities; others prefer a slow breakfast and one extended excursion. Explain which matters to you before comparing boats. The useful question is how the proposed yacht, crew and daily schedule support those preferences, including the needs of guests who stay aboard.
Look beyond the headline photograph
Ask for the proposed vessel’s cabin layout, dining arrangement, shaded outdoor space and tender access. A beautiful exterior does not show the stairs, bed configuration or distance from a cabin to the activity area. Current photographs and a clear specification make the choice more concrete, especially for a family or a mixed-age group.
Agree the route and its room to change
A yacht journey can explore Misool alone or include other Raja Ampat areas, but adding destinations also adds passage time. Ask what the itinerary would lose if it stretches farther. The captain must retain the ability to adapt to conditions; the booking should make that practical flexibility understandable before you travel.
Your planning checklist
- Describe the atmosphere and pace you want.
- Review the actual cabin and deck layout.
- Ask about tender boarding and daily excursions.
- Compare travel time with time at anchor.
Good questions, clear answers.
Is every yacht trip a private charter?
No. Ask whether the proposal reserves the entire vessel or a cabin on a shared departure.
Can I select a yacht from a photograph?
Use the photograph as a starting point. The desk must confirm the specific vessel, facilities, dates and written booking terms.
